You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. -Ephesians 4:22-24

Have you ever thought like I have…
“So how do I live like Jesus everyday? If I have been given a new life in Christ, then how do I live in it?
Imagine your favorite clothing store. Whatever it is, picture that you have been given a whole closet full of clothes from that store. All your old clothes have been replaced and all that is left are the oldest, worn out, and dirty clothes that you have on your body now.
How silly would it be to decide to yourself that even though you have been given all this new wardrobe, you say, “I think I will just continue to wear these old smelly clothes because I am used to them.” How crazy and stupid would that be.
Well that is what happens to many people who have begun a relationship with Jesus. They may get excited about this new found relationship but they miss that Jesus offers many incredible gifts to utilize.
The greatest of these is the new identity…or wardrobe… we have in Jesus. As in life, how we dress most of the time reflects how we will act or what we will do during the day.
So if we want to “put on Christ” everyday, here is what we must do:
1) PUT OFF YOUR OLD SELF– What are the former things you did before you met Jesus that don’t respect you, others or God? Decide to stop doing them…take them off!! Ask Jesus to help you do it even if it is one piece of dirty/old clothing at a time.
2) CHECK YOUR ATTITUDE– How is your daily attitude? Are you seeking for God to give you a heart and mind like Jesus?
3) PUT ON THE NEW SELF– Are you taking action…doing something today that matches the “wardrobe” you have been given? Will you look and act like Jesus today instead of just the “old clothes” that the everyone else that do not know God are wearing?
PRAY:
Jesus help me to take off the old things in my life that keep from putting on the new and better things You offer. Help me to have an attitude like Yours that seeks to love others and honor You in every way today.

Deciding to search and reach with God with a Jesus like attitude is hard at first. You must break yourself like an old horse of your bad habits and thinking, but for me there’s only one horse that I want in my wardrobe, and that’s POLO! Changing from the darkened world wardrobe to the light holiness and righteousness of God is going from NONO to POLO or from FUBU to LULU! From the poverty of the world to the Highest of high quality in Jesus Christ.
